I don't recall who told me this, but I know i heard it. Is the Cylinder head on the 89 different than the other 4cyl? I thought someone said the Jet valves were different? I don't know if this was for 84-89 or just something different on 89 only. Can anyone tell me if this is true? Thanks.

AFAIK, all the late 2.6 heads are the same.

Thanks. I found a extra one and wasn't sure. talked to a guy about hydraulic and he said he recommended the hydraulic though he had mechanical too. stated the latter was better, had extra cooling holes with a better thick alloy in the right places. Was curious because Had heard they were different. thanks again.

The 89 turbo head is different, I never thought if this would also be true in a normally aspirated application. Visually the 89 Turbo head has massive exhaust guide extension down into the port. This could be in an 88 head also. I did not research for any other differences.
