I finally pulled the turbo for the third and hopefully final time. I found a guy in Alabama that does turbo rebuilds

I sent the turbo by UPS insured for $800 waiting on the edge of my seat for the diagnosis and estimate. Found some interesting info at his site www.turborepair.com where among other things it says they make an oil reservoir add on to help oil the turbo bearings during spool down.
In the meantime I will pull the alternator/vacuum pump and replace the O-rings and see if I can't stop one of the oil leaks.
Anyone got a source for the vacuum pump rebuild kits? Last time I used a square rubber VCR drive belt as an O-ring, I guess it didn't work very well, no doubt the wrong type of rubber to use in a biodiesel powered engine <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/baby.gif" alt="" />
