Ceiling between the front seats?

Maybe attached to the back of the center console?

Rear heat and AC controls.

Funny, the only time being fully-loaded is a liability... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> I'm going to pull the heat/AC rear plastics off this weekend and see if I could squeeze it in there somewhere. I hardly ever use it, and heatwise it's only a 4x40W amp. All Crutchfield users who mentioned heat at all only mentioned it to say that it didn't actually heat up, period. I guess if that doesn't work, I'll consider attaching it to the 2nd row seats with a flexible connection. Probably not a good choice because I do use my Pajero as a van fairly often. Argh!
Thanks for the suggestions guys.

the US spec monteros that had factory infinity amps in them had a compartment under the 2nd row seat right side of vehicle as you sit in it. not sure if pajeros had that same compartment, but it is a large compartment and you can see it if you look just above the tire through the fender well gap between the frame and body.

you have to life the carpet up and there is a large metal plate bolted down, kinda like the plate to access the fuel pump on the gas tank, but instead, it is further frontwards and under the right second row seat. I can pics of mine on my montero if you need them.

Pics of that would be great... if it doesn't help me, it'll help someone else with a Montero. I did a search and there were only passing references to amps and Pajeros/Monteros here, so this thread is our big reference for now, lol.

Sounds like where our rear heat fan is on the Pajeros. I should snap a pic to confirm.

ok, here are my pics, the first three pics are of a 97 SR right rear wheel well, as you can see the big box hanging down, that is the compartment that the monteros had an infinity factory installed amplifier, most the box is empty as the amp didn't take up all that room. keep in mind, this truck had a 2 inch body lift, so if yours is stock it won't be as wide open and visible, but you get at it from under the carpet under the 2nd row seat.

now this pic is a 97 LS, this trim didn't come with the infinity system, so therefore, didn't have the compartment installed, here is a pic to show you what it looks like if you don't have it
