Body Damage is Cool
I'm thinking may 30th and 31st. I would like to make it out to do some florence trails and want to make it to as many trails out there as possible. There is a lot of trails out that way that i have yet to run. I figured a solid month would give everybody enough time to get time off of work and any preparation needed done. I was also thinking about meeting on the Friday night before (29th) and camping out at the trail head so we can get a full two days in. This should be a pretty fun trip and it would be cool to get a big group out together. Let me know what you think and if anybody has any ideas throw them out.

It would be pretty warm that time of year for low elevation camping like that. I would think we would want to try to get back up in the hills a ways first if there's enough time Friday night. Oh, like Martinez Cabin, for example...

I should be able to make that and still go to pauls trip this weekend. You should come PA_JERO it would be a good time to work out some of those gremlins because if it's going to happen it's going to happen out there. Bring the tow bar. You should be fine though since you basically replaced every worn out part with less worn out parts.

And, to add, I've got the receiver hitch/hook and tow strap. That doesn't keep parts from falling off onto the highway, though.

Its not that bad, I just put a motor together using a block with 145K miles on it so its still got half of its life left but the cylinder head was completely rebuilt. Its been running pretty solid so far. but apparently the ignition timing is off from what i discussed with pat this past weekend. I can't seem to figure it out.

Well as far as camping at the cabins on Friday night I am totally down for that. I am gonna be free on friday the 29th at 830 in the morning. so anytime from there till the early evening is fine to head out. I figured it would be pretty warm around that time of the season but i figured by dusk it should be cooling off enough. Camping at the cabins will be really good cause that will give it more time to play with.

Camping at the cabins?

Has any of you actually camped at the cabins in spring before? (I'm not talking about temperature... )

Oh yeah. Bugs.

We may have to rethink that part.

I've only ever camped at the start of box canyon around spring time and it was a little warm. I imagine if bugs are a problem by the cabin then we can always find a new camping spot. what do you guys think about camping by the gila river and then head in to do the coke ovens first thing saturday morning. The only problem I see with that would be how full the river is. the only spot that i know to cross isn't something we could cross with out a winch and some water damage and i would like to try to avoid that this time. There is a spot that wrenchwench and I crossed coming out of the coke ovens and that spot wasn't bad at all, is that spot still open to get to?
