I've only ever camped at the start of box canyon around spring time and it was a little warm. I imagine if bugs are a problem by the cabin then we can always find a new camping spot. what do you guys think about camping by the gila river and then head in to do the coke ovens first thing saturday morning. The only problem I see with that would be how full the river is. the only spot that i know to cross isn't something we could cross with out a winch and some water damage and i would like to try to avoid that this time. There is a spot that wrenchwench and I crossed coming out of the coke ovens and that spot wasn't bad at all, is that spot still open to get to?
