I just figured the 160 degree thermostat would open up more often and help keep the engine a bit cooler. I'm putting in a electric fan this weekend. I just picked up one out of a ford taurus. The electric fan should solve my issue, the truck never overheated around town or on highways or anything. When me JBFP went out wheeling the other weekend the truck kept getting heat creep when we where moving real slow. When we would get going it would cool back down. The issue lies in the mech fan, it cant cool the engine very well with a 3" body lift, the fan is just way to low to keep up, plus the clutch is completely out to so.the water pump is brand new and the rad should be fine. The electric fan should solve my problem though, I just thought the thermostat would just help out a little.
