just leave them in, pull the fuse, and if you don't want the light on you could remove the instr. panel and pull the light. but I have never had the panel off to even know how and if the lights they can be replaced. I had this happen to me also but I got lucky and got a airbag mod of ebay ( the #'s must match ) I looked and looked for the clockspring but could not get one easy so I went ahead and put in the mod. and it worked the light went off. if it hadn't I would be in the same boat as when I started I would have had to go to the dealer.
