Per TSB-92-11-003 dated July 1992, head bolt torque should be 80 lb-ft hot or cold, with lightly oiled (30W) bolt threads, washers and underside of the bolt heads. No re-torque is necessary.

Only problem here Scorpion, is the Harmonic Balancer is actually the crank belt pulley. Its pretty much a gotta do it thing. Besides, I like my AC and power steering. that reminds me, I need to order a power steering pump. Rxinhed?

Take a look in the back of the old turbo truck, there's a low miles starion pump back there somewhere I think.. Last I looked they seemed pretty similar..

I really hope so, This engine has been such a thorn in my side since I bought the Montero. I am starting to consider selling it for an SR if all goes well. Shhhhhh don't tell the Montero I said that, it knows when I talk bad about it.

I think that truck is possessed, it was the transmission when I owned it.. and when we fixed the bottom end, the top end went on you..

Front axle, rear axle, transmission, engine... what's left to fix on her? The cancer spots at least the interior is good in it!

Only thing left to break on it is the frame and body.

I picked up a new water pump and T belt today er well yesterday. I also cleaned and oiled up most of my HLAs, anyone have advice on how to get the stuck ones out? Pliers don't seem to work . I should be making alot of progress this weekend.

Are you wedged in there? Would a strong magnet work? If they're not wedged and just stuck with goop may be soaking the rocker assembly in diesel would free them up

I got my stuck lash adjusters out. I had to set them in a vice and pry on the arm with a flat head. Not something I would recommend, but at $20 a pop per HLA I am taking the chance. I installed my water pump and timing belt tonight. I still have the valve covers to paint but after that the engine is finished. All I have to wait on is my new motor mount to get shipped here (scheduled delivery is the 13th)So I figure I will have the engine in the truck on the 14th or 15th if all goes well.
