my high beams are not working when i push the turn signal lever forward, but do work when i pull the level back. if i switch back and forth 10+ times, the high beams occasionally come on. low beams are working fine.

do you think this is a problem with the turn signal lever? contacts...any way to clean or add snake-oil?

It's the switch alright. It will take some effort to git to it and you can clean it out with some contact cleaner. Had to do this fer a friend's T-100.

Looking up the part on ToyoDIY.com

and cross referencing the price on ToyotaPartSales.com...

8414035100 $53.67 $0.00 $40.34
Electrical - Chassis electrical - Switches - Headlamp dimmer switch
Headlamp dimmer switch, t100 1995 - 1998

So probably about $53 or so shipped.

If you go this route, you'll have to be careful when you remove the pins from the connector and making sure you keep the same wires in the same spots.

If you want ot go the cheap route they still sell the old foot switches at most parts stores. You could rewire that circuit to one of those.

2-3 hour job, just a PITA to pull out the headlight dimmer part. have to strip down everything to remove the entire combo switch/spiral cable assembly. once out, the swap is a breeze.
