Getting the Wheeling Fever
I am looking into the Bilstein 5100's.
I know I need BE5-6583-H0 for the rear.(4" S/L)
But the front of my T100 has 1.5" B/J spacers w/ stock bump stops and the 4" S/L. Would BE5-6582-H0 work? Will I need to shim them or is there a different part # I should use?
I also wanted to know what the difference is between the Bilstein BE5-6582-H0 and the BE5-6582-H5?? Do I get the H0's or the H5's. This Forum recommended the H0's but I found some with H5 at the end of the part # instead of H0. I have Procomp shocks that came w/ the lift that suck! And I think the fronts are shot, maybe because of the B/J spacers that were added??(and age) Thanks for any help

If I recall the perfect sized shocks for the regular pick ups with BJ spacers were those off a stock suzuki samuari according to 4Crawler.

I have no idea if the T100 has the same shock size as the regular old pick ups. May want to ask Roger about the exact sizes, but iirc it needs to be 1.5" longer up/downstroke or something to that effect.

Body Damage is Cool
I picked out some 5125s yesterday. We used a tape to see what I was working with at ride height with blown Trailmaster rears and Skyjacker fronts, figured out where the new mounts would be (rears on top of the tube, fronts midway up it) and searched the Bilstein site to come up with the best matched length and balanced street/trail worthy valving which is a 12" travel 5125. (An IFS front with spacers won't take one that long, but your rears might). I thought of running remote reservoirs, but they're really overkill for the rides I take, which aren't based on speeding down a trail, and I daily-drive my rig plus tend to have long highway distances to the trailheads.

For a monotube shock, 5125s have reportedly been holding up to the temperature changes around here better than the other Bils. And at $75 per corner, they won't break the bank if I blow one up.

I was REALLY close to buying 5150's but I felt the same way; I don't really need them on a daily driver, they just look so cool I also donÆt like the look of the front stem adaptor that is needed. I have some S.S. tubing I was going to fab/bend/TIG some front hoops out of, so I wouldn't need stem adaptors and because they would look *****'n! But again, for a daily driver I don't really need to and I am now thinking I will hold off on the S.S. hoops until I weld on a D44. (yrs down the road)
Do you have to run the stem adaptors w/ the 5125's?? Or do they sell some sizes w/ a top stem? I like the price and look of them.

Yes I am very interested in your 5125's if others think these will work for my application.(because I am using b/j spacers along w/ 4" Procomp)
Post F&R Part #'s
