I saw these on Rt. 81 in Virginia. Canadian plates, I think a Mercedes-made military vehicle. I wouldn't mind one being delivered to my home. Pete

You can/used to be able to buy a Gelõndewagen in a civilian model, the G500. Looking at prices figure about $20-30k for a 7-9yr old one.
More than tread lightly. Leave it like you were never there, nor anyone else. '90 X-cab 4.88's 33 BFG AT's, rr ARB, Headers, Ignition upgrade, cold air induction. '91 X-cab 5.29's 315's BFG MT's, rr ARB, custom bumper and flatbed

Australia has just signed up for the G-Wagen for the next 30 years to replace the Land Rovers the Australian Army have been using.

Yup g-wagon, theyre pretty sick, f+r and centre lockers, diesel, beauty. Front one is a chevy 2500. You can actually buy a g500 or even a g500 AMG (with a 450hp supercharged v8 mallcrawler)

Very roomy, comfortable and excellent off-road. Built like a tank. But it consumes lots of gas (something like 11-14MPG overall).

The US market got the 16 spark plug v8s with more electronics than this computer I am typing on.
I believe the later G55 AMGs had 469hp.
I actually saw 4 Gwagons last Friday. One was a G55 with big gay 24in+ rims.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Frank So how does that work? Does the wheel disconnect from the axle somehow? Or does the tire spin while winching?
