I don't know much about Rodeos but it seems like a good choice from early 2000 at 6-7k however, I would prefer a manual transfer case. Realize that if you get a manual tranny, you will also have to change the tranny to get a manual tcase as on the Isuzu manual trannies the two cases are one. I suppose that it is possible that you could make the new 5 speed and the old t-case work together, but I am reasonably sure that no one here has done it, and perhaps only Jerry LeMond can give you a definitive answer.
