Everet... yes- hypotheicaly - the system is designed this way for the AC opperation.. Hmmm thats a consideration...

londart - in theory the sroud helps fun to suck air fron the complete radiator and not the part that is right infront of it
other than that its a nice place to mount the fan
I consider passing through the core mounting skrews VERY dangerous in offroad use, since tha vibrations might damage the rad.
