Getting the Wheeling Fever

Is there a provision for increased rpm when the a/c is switched on. My 2.8l trooper stays at like 8-900 rpms w/ the a/c on at idle and it makes the alternator bracket vibrate loudly and annoyingly. However, if I position my foot on the accelerator to achieve about 1100 rpms at idle, it totally smoothes out and there is absolutely no noise or vibration.
