Mowed the lawn and took a shower, and afterwards found a voicemail on the cell. It said "Hey I received your number and was told you have a strong wench. I am filming a movie about Danial Boone and Kentucky history. We got our truck stuck in the mud and was wondering if you could help us out."
Now, I am not cool with people calling me out of the blue asking for a tow. But at the same time I don't want any one stuck some where. Receiving the call made me think I was getting scammed.I did call two family members before calling back. I called the guy back and asked questions. He said the same as the above and I asked how he got my number. He replied that some one last night told him about the jeep and wench. (he could not name the person)
Further along on the conversation, and he said he was at a small dinner in town. Had no ride and would pay me for my trouble. I agreed to meet hime there. (better there then out in the woods)
Meet the guy and all talk (Hollywood and this and that). But way smaller than me and I did not feel threatend. I was worried about who was at camp and if there was a gimmic involved. We loaded up for the said vehical,. They were real happy to see someone equipted to handle such a problem. Holy crap, they had tried hard to get the truck unstuck(tree v/s passenger window, crew cab fender, and bed fender). All while on all tourrains. (pretty funny sh!t to see, if you ask me))
Any way, they paid my gas, and money to get the rig washed finally, party favors and a unexpected trail ride. Some extra cash for the trouble and said see ya'.
