Mowed the lawn and took a shower, and afterwards found a voicemail on the cell.
It said "Hey I received your number and was told you have a strong wench. I am filming a movie about Danial Boone and Kentucky history. We got our truck stuck in the mud and was wondering if you could help us out."

Now, I am not cool with people calling me out of the blue asking for a tow. But at the same time I don't want any one stuck some where. Receiving the call made me think I was getting scammed.I did call two family members before calling back. I called the guy back and asked questions. He said the same as the above and I asked how he got my number. He replied that some one last night told him about the jeep and wench. (he could not name the person)

Further along on the conversation, and he said he was at a small dinner in town. Had no ride and would pay me for my trouble. I agreed to meet hime there. (better there then out in the woods)

Meet the guy and all talk (Hollywood and this and that). But way smaller than me and I did not feel threatend. I was worried about who was at camp and if there was a gimmic involved. We loaded up for the said vehical,. They were real happy to see someone equipted to handle such a problem. Holy crap, they had tried hard to get the truck unstuck(tree v/s passenger window, crew cab fender, and bed fender). All while on all tourrains. (pretty funny sh!t to see, if you ask me))

Any way, they paid my gas, and money to get the rig washed finally, party favors and a unexpected trail ride. Some extra cash for the trouble and said see ya'.

I really don't understand how you had a young woman equipped to pull a stuck truck

All you Pajaro/Montaro guys seem to have sick thoughts of wenches and couchubines. Sick man. sick. Get your mind out of the gutter, J brones.

All I did was help somebody out. Was leery of the situation, and it turned out to be an alright thing. Made some cash, met some good people and did a good thing this weekend.

What's a couchubine? I'm afraid you have the wrong impression of me. You're the one using young women for manual labor. You said it yourself.

All in all a good day of unexpected wheelin'. Come to find out these guys caused such a racket over the last couple nights. The land owner wanted them off the property and called the cops. The guys had a little bit of a party favor problem. And they were in a pretty bad spot. I don't know how they are ever going to get a movie done but that is there problem. They were in "BAT COUNTRY"!!.

Hey, I got payed and the Wrangler got to play in the mud again. Not bad for a Saturday on call.

Now I'm really confused. You said you have a wench equipped to pull trucks. All I see is a picture of you pulling what appears to be a winch cable and some guy's rear. I don't know what you're in to, calling either of the people in that picture a wench, but count me out.

I'd say with some dude being in the woods in a jacket that doesn't say 'Carhartt' or 'Columbia' on it, that he's working on helping them pull their head out.
