I own one, I just don't know what each line is suppost to be at.... Before I dive into testing that, does anyone know how to reset the ECU?

I'm sure at some point this subject has been covered, but I am unable to locate anything on it. Which line do you apply vaccume to, to check the secondary carb? Also, could this be causeing choking at higher RPM's with air filter housing on? It does not choke at high RPM's when the air filter housing in off.....I'm about ready to burn this car alive! With all the time and money I have in it, it should be gold plated. lol You have a stuck bowl vent... Since its stuck open the fuel on the bowl is always referenced to atmospheric pressure. When you put an air filter on you get a pressure drop at the cars inlet. The fuel bowl is supposed to be referenced to the inside of the air filter. Since your bowl vent leaks.... Your have more pressure above the fuel than you should. That causes the motor to run really, really rich. As a test block off the bowlÆs vent line to the carb (large line that goes across the valve cover). It should run a lot better with the air filter on. Kevin

You need the carb bowl vented when the motor is off and possibly at idle. Its been a long time... Fuzzy on the details.
A carb rebuild is probably the best option. You can just plug the bowl vent but hot starting will be a problem since the gas evaporating out of the bown wont have a place to go other than into the intake...
Or you could get creative and rig up an external vent valve the is controlled by the ignition. Cloces when its running open when its off.

Haha, Kevin you are a genious! I have been replacing stuff on this thing for a year now trying to fix that. I tried spraying carb cleaner in the opening and it didn't change anything.....so I guess it's time to do something about the ol carb....I already rebuilt it but I guess not well lol. Is it possible to just pull it apart and break the valve loose?

I priced the bowl vent valve from the dealer it was $150 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/zombie.gif" alt="" /> so I went with a rebuilt from FC
the bowl vent is a dealer only item and does not come in any carb rebuild kit. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

The bowl vent valve is not in the std. rebuild kit. You have to source separately.
