Body Damage is Cool
You could also use small "U" bolts to attach to rack.
Do you think that running the power up the drivers post and thru the roof under the dome light. Running it up the back offers good possibilities too, because of the
2nd battery being in the back.
Have to calculate amperage-wire gauge.

Rock Raptor from 4wheelnoffroad.com is where I got the idea from, yes.
I added my own ideas, like the light bar and the rear light, plus mine is 2 inches longer.
I have also posted photos there and Thanked him for the idea.

now for the cables...

Originaly I didnt have roof rails...
so from a wrecked one i picked up a pair and installed them...

[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

now
if you look closely you will notice that the rail base holes are not circular but oval
I belive that jigling there a little bit from the rest of the space you will be able to pass a cable..
ok a second hole is needed
for sealant i used a little bit of mastic and so far works just fine for possible leaks inside...

lol..no worries man...I as waiting for someone to ask where the idea came from...lol
I found 4wheelnoffroad.com in June of 07 just after we got the Sportage, looking up on how to do a lift.
Everyone there was very helpful.
One fellow there has put together a very extreme Kia, should check it out. Rokia is the name.
Here is a link to it.
http://www.4wheelnoffroad.com/rokia.html
I hope it is alright to link to his sight.

Just a side note here...
In No Way Am I Wanting To Take Credit For The Design.
Only My Build, And The Extras I Added. And Will Continue To Add I Am Sure.
This why thanks went out to Rock Raptor for the DIY instructions as soon as I finished.
If you check out the main page there, on the left check out "Technical"....a plethora of info on various items. Almost a gold mine one may say.
