You only need to open the speed bleeder 1/4 turn.

I use gravity. It's been my favorite way to bleed brakes for many years. Always ends with a perfect pedal and never worry about getting help for the pedal-pushing.

Gravity bleeding. Basically you crack all the bleeders open, and let it go. DONT TOUCH THE PEDAL. Gravity takes over and the fluid will start to run out of all the bleeders, eliminating any air in the system. Just make sure you dont let it run dry!

Thats usually how I do it at work, but sometimes I cant get some calipers to gravity bleed so I have to do it the old fashioned way.

Huh! Doesn't that take a long time if you want to change the fluid completely? Do you close the bleeders in any order, like farthest from the master cylinder etc?

Don't forget folks, there are 3 bleeders for the rear axle on a Montero <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

If you get the bleeder threads to seal, you can do it with a hose and container. Loosen the bleeder, put the hose on the nipple, and submerge the other hose end in a containder of clean brake fluid and pump away.
