I'd say colt's got it.. I had the same thing in my honda accord except much bigger. It took up the whole corner of the passenger front bumper. When removed, I insantly had a race car

You can remove that without any ill effects. Just make sure you plug the hole well.
Your ECU may be bad with the idle issue.

That makes a lot of sense, Charlie.
I make a bet that a usa spec maf will fit your engine. Pre obd2. Anybody want to help this guy out and send him one off a junker. Pretty small package and light, so should ship cheap. Might be a good idea to compare part #'s first.
This maf is a karmann vortex type, and the sensor uses ultrasonic waves to count the number of vortices in the intake air. Vortex generation/count is directly proportional to air mass flow rate. If the ultrasound sender or receiver windows are dirty, you can get a false air flow rate to the ecu. A careful reading of the fsm may get you a reading range for the maf outputs at idle and some higher rpms. I think there's a digital/analog converter on the maf pcb that converts vortex count to a varying voltage signal to the ecu.
Not responsible for advice not taken...

I will foot the bill if you can find and ship one at a reasonable price. I will be forever grateful! This is the sticker on top of mine. ![[Linked Image]](http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/4729/maft.jpg)

I have a pulley squeel ( very intermittent ) and the only one it could be is this one as it still squeels with A/C belt and PS pump belt removed. ![[Linked Image]](http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/70/pulley.jpg) Do I need to buy it as a whole or can I have a bearing pressed in? Thanks

Also, did you replace your timing belt pulley? those wear out faster than most other pulleys I see.
