You are a person who builds strong bonds with people, and I know you'll miss your dad deeply. But he'll always live in your heart, and as long as you are alive, his wisdom and his guidance lives inside you.

Thank you for your huge commitment to the forum over the years. I suspect there is a bit of your father reflected in the way you have supported and encouraged this community.

My heart and my prayers are with you.

I lost mine 10+ years ago to a brain aneurism. Thankfully I was able to get there, though he never knew. My deepest condolences to you all. Losing a parent is tough, no two ways about it. We all hope to do as well a job with our kids as they did with ourselves...

Thanks all. It was a tough day today. Had to make funeral arrangements.

Not sure how many of you have done that but it's the worst thing to have to do while you're grieving. Cost for 2 viewing days & burial just under $18k. Burial alone was $8k. Having to pick and choose what you want to do/pay for immediately after the wedding really sucks and I highly recommend you all make these arrangements before hand. Be prepared for a shock when you learn the cost.

Our condolensce, too, Ray. My grandmother recently passed away; however, she had been wasting for several years after a stroke that wiped her mind and left a healthy body. More my mom than my mom.
