After looking at Summit catalog at the Autometer braided hose I figured I'd have to put this off till next month. I noticed that the I.D. was 3/16 and it came with hardware store type brass fittings. I went in to the big city this a.m. ( pop. 40k) and asked NAPA who could make a power steering hose . They said no P.S. hoses but they make Hydalic hoses with 1000 lb rating in the back. I had them make 24 in. with 1/4 fittings and 2 reducers to 1/8 npt.
$23 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> . I'm gonna tap the oil fiter mount to 1/8 npt, run the hose up the fender, 3 way fitting , 15 lb idiot light sender, copper tube to gauge . I might get 3/16 copper tube at the hardware store instead of the auto meter 1/8 so I can get the accuracy Charlie discribes.
