Just wondering who all will be making it to the May Uwharrie meet? I know I will be there, and Mark (Sandhill Raider) is planning on being there. Who else?

I still plan on coming so long as nothing else goes wrong with my Montero.

We are going to shoot for a 10am-11am meet up time at the Eldorado Outpost right outside of the trails. Last time we had the meet at the Arrowhead Campgrounds, and it didn't go so well. From GA your talking a nice drive, but if you want to make it more power to you. Uwharrie, NC is just outside of Troy, NC. Here are 2 maps:

Map of the Trails out at Uwharrie.

All the trails we will be doing can be done with a stock Montero/Raider so no worries there. Point of these trips is to have fun and still have a vehicle to drive back home at the end of it.

I'm figuring an 8 hour drive one way based on your map so I'll have to pass it up. Thanks for the rapid response.

I don't think it will take you that long? I thought ATL was only 4 hours from charlotte so maybe 5-6 hours to Uwharrie?

And as for me. Even if I could, the monty isn't ready yet. I learned my lesson last time. It couldve been worse. But who knows. Might just take it easy instead if I do

I'd love to come but I've already got 2 broken Monty's and have a bad feeling about taking the 01 on the trail with this weeks run of bad luck!

Milledgeville is only an hour and a half from me. And then it's about 4 and a half to Uwharrie. So, total time is more like 6 hrs. Still a long frickin haul to soft-wheel on service roads. Wish I could come, but the wifey's still recovering from surgery and that put's me on Daddy detail when I'm not at work. Can't even wrench on my truck

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

While I will agree Uwharrie is no Tellico, soft wheeling forest service roads? Now that is funny.

Soft wheel up Kodak Rock:

Soft wheeling up the "little ledge" on Daniel looking at the sky essentially:

Like I said while Uwharrie isn't as "hardcore" as Tellico per say, its by far not forest service roads.
