First I like to thank everyone involved in Kia forum for being so helpful. I have been a member for a while now and this is the first time I comment on anything, reading the post I just had to get involved because the same thing happen to me, I just got a 96 kia sportage from a neighbor which has been sitting for about 2 years, I got it started finally and it was running ok... but then started to shake and no power, well long story short check your fuel tank mine was full of rust and the sediment in the bottom was unbelievable the fuel pump went bad and I had two clogged injectors same computer codes, cyl 1 and 3 on mine, took everything apart cleaned the injectors replaced the FUEL TANK (special order $197.00 in Puerto Rico) blew some air in all the fuel lines and new fuel filter and now I just can't believe the power that this little engines have is running like new. Well hope this helps and thanks to everyone on the forum for being so helpful.
