Anybody know where to buy new interior parts for 1988 4runner such as dash pieces? Seems a lot of these parts have been discontinued.

Hrm, i just get them by luck i guess. Picked up a radio surround for $20 from some dude parting his truck on kijiji, a crack-free dash for 100 off ebay, and an inclinometer from some dude parting his truck on yotatech for 70. You just gotta research.

Yes I know how to find used parts and that Toyota is the only one that makes them. Anybody know of anywhere that still carries NEW interior parts?

TOYOTA, nobody else.
Theres nothing like Chevy trucks where you can pick up an LMC trucks magazine and order any aftermarket interior piece.
If there were though, they would make a boatload of money I would imagine.

Toyota is the only people who make the dash pieces. No aftermarket. That's not completely true, I have a plastic dash "cover" thing that you place over the original dash essentially adding a new layer, specifically for all the guys w/ the well known crack(s). It's not made by Toyota... I may dig it out and take a peak at the label.
With 200+ Billion electrical parts, the world most complicated machine is inside your own skull.

If there were though, they would make a boatload of money I would imagine. And...I've always wondered why this is (no/so little aftermarket replacement mimic parts). Could Toyota be stingy w/ copyright licenses? As mentioned I'd think the market would be huge, certainly enoug hto justify production.

More likely because are rigs are now hitting the big 3-0+ and are still on the road; why would they make stuff for 'em? Keep an eye on fleabay, craigslist, 4x4 for sale sections- only way you'll find interior parts. Oh, and www.car-part.com <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I cannot just call Toyota. I am looking for a dealer that might still have some OEM interior parts available.
