It doesn't "talk" to anything. Long term you end up spending big bucks on new O2 sensors that have been sooted up and buggered by running too rich. Just because there are connections to to the O2 sensors doesn't mean they are actually connected internally to anything. These things simply put a 5 cent resistor across the IAT to fool the ECU into overfuelling. The rest of your hard earned $xxx dollars is theirs....
