In fact when you think about it, does my 3.5L SHOC 24V mitsu engine really have less moving parts than a 3.5L DOHC 24V mitsu engine? Uhhhh yea...two less cams rotating <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> OK, you got me there <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> I mean, isn't the rocker assembly more complex in the SOHC engine?

I'm certainly no expert, but DOHC for 4X4 use doesn't make much sense to me. It's great for street use, but I like low RPM torque. I used to have an FJ40 that would climb anything in low range idling at 600RPM (straight 6). The 3.0Ls I have now are not as good, but good enough for my uses.
The mechanic I've found here (OZ) has a pair of 6g72 24V heads. I figure more power if I can find the right donor engine.

what we really need It's got round headlights, the later gen 2 dash with the brighter gauges, no body cladding, 3.5L SOHC or 2.8L TDI. At least i really need one so i'll be building one <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I firs read about the L200 Savana like 3 years ago, and fell in love with it. It's awesome! Yes, it costs like $50k (more like $44k), but cars in Brazil are awfully expensive; the Montero (Pajero) costs over $100k over there. Here's the link: http://www.mitsubishimotors.com.br/main.cfm/l200_savana/
