Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thought I would start a topic. We watched "Behind Enemy Lines" last night with Owen Wilson and there was some good shots of what looked like a 1996 SR. This was the evil Chek commanders vehicle. Any body else got any Montero's in movies.

Jackie Chan's "Who Am I" has a Gen II SWB and pretty cool rally scenes
"Children of Men" has what looks to be a Gen 1 pajero SWB

Being a Bill Murray fan and after having seen "Life Aquatic..." and "Lost in Translation", I was curious to see him in another somewhat more dramatic role in "Broken Flowers".

It's an indie film probably not easy to find at Blockbuster, but add it to your Netflix queue.

Anyway, about 20 or 30min into the film as Bill is driving to his first "meeting", along the side of the road parked in a driveway is unmistakeably a blue Gen1 LWB.

The funny thing in the end credits it mentioned it was filmed in and around NJ and NY - so it could be a members rig! There was something mentioned online that Bill agreed to be in the movie so long as he didn't have to travel more than 20 or 30min from his own house to be on location.

Back to the movie... the first meeting he has with an ex girlfriend (played by Sharon Stone) is something you gotta SEE - in particular Sharon's daughter played by Alexis Dziena. Makes the DVD worth buying!

Enjoy!

In Rwanda Hotel you can see at least a LWB Gen2, if I remember correctly it gets burned; in The Constant Gardener there's a LWB Gen1 in a chase; in Body of Lies there's a LWB Gen2 that gets chased by helicopters.

So I think in a movie that takes place in Africa you are very likely to see a Montero/Pajero.

Also most older Jackie Chan movies feature Mitsubishi cars.

The doctor chick in Blood Diamond drives a LWB Pajero, later in the movie, they used it to escape an ambush and drove it through a village.

"Broken Flowers" is available to see online for free on Hulu.com.

That scene you mention creeps me out a bit. I think she was over 18 when she filmed that scene, but she's playing a 15 or 16 year old girl.
