I did the front brake rebuild a few years ago and have been quite happy using Brembo rotors, OEM type (no slotting, drilling or cyro treatment). Can't remember specifically, but I think they were $60ish per side, though that was a few years ago.

As for the rebuild, it certainly isn't as simple as pulling off the old and putting on the new. You will be rebuilding the bearings in the process. Basically take a 54mm hub sockets, pull off the hub, clean the bearings, repack the bearings, pull of the rotor, put on a new rotor, put back on spindle, tighted to appropriate specs and replace calipers.
