Pad make a major difference in how a rig stops. Rotor type may make a difference in how well it keeps stopping, under repeated hard applications.

I've seen nothing about the oem stock rotors that would give me pause to reusing that type. Only if I were hauling horse trailers in the mountains of Tennessee or such would I consider a rotor upgrade.
