Oh I agree with you...I'm all about free..free beer..free food..free women..lmao.. I'm going to check the grounds and everything.Kinda funny you said that cause i just put a new battery in it about a week before it started missing..I love this truck..! My friends (all ford and chevy guys) laughed at me when I got it and said it was a joke. The laughter stopped when I put the 33's on it and started climbing the things the wouldn't try. Sorry, kinda went into left field on this. Just wanting my truck back to normal.

this is the scoop today..check the volts at the battery before I started it. It read 12.5. Started it and it went up to 14.5. Shut it off and cleaned all the grounds. One (ground) at battery, one at firewall and the one at the intake. No change. Cleaned off the top of the cam position sensor and the little thing that is attached to cam pulley itself. No change. Checked vacuum lines couldn't find any bad. Tried to figure out which cylinder was missing. Pulled plug wire off each cylinder. And well, you can here the engine drop down and hear the pop from the arch on every cyclinder. Check engine back on..And don't know if I mention this before but air bag light is on and has been on for the last three weeks. Don't know if that has anything to do with the missing but thought I would bring that up just in case. Ok so now everyone is up to speed..Which way now?

ok never mind....its fixed.. One of the coils was bad and when i put the new on I guess i broke the retaining clip that holds the electrical plug into the coil pack. When the motor would run it would slowly back out enough to make it miss..know it sounds crazy but that what it was..took a zip tie and used that to hold in and she purrs like a kitten,,,,!!!!! time to head to the rocks

BTW, in the Taco section, there's a sticky with FSM links if you need 'em. The Tacoma shares the 2.7 and the 3.4.

If you want your own FSM, $10 for a 24 hr window to download: www.techinfo.toyota.com
