And how much brake cleaner should I spray up in there?

Jerry's post (JLEMOND) says half a can...listen to Jerry, he used to train Isuzu mechanics and knows whereof he speaks.

Well... I think I may have this problem licked. I spent some more time with it last night and think I made some progress. I have only driven the truck twenty or thirty miles, though, so I'm not counting my chicks just yet.

However, the stumble that was present at the 2000 RPM mark appears to be gone, there is more get-up when I hit the gas pedal, and the check engine light isn't on yet.

However, I take it on a cross-country trip (Denver to Vegas in one day - with a five-year-old and a nine-year-old - wish me luck!), so that will be the acid test.

Just got back from a 1600-mile road trip with the truck and it ran flawlessly... except for one time when the engine light came on in Utah. That was after two tanks full of 85-octane, though, and it appeared to clear up as soon as I put 87 in it. Maybe some low-octane-related knocking that cleared itself up when I put new gas in?

Also, as a side note, I seemed to get better gas mileage when I used Shell gasoline...
