25 automatic, you can buy them buy the dozen And you might need a dozen.... so when it was time to fire, you could find one that didn't jam - or - have enough rounds to do some damage. Frank

I just found a Sig-Sauer .45 magazine that was loaded with Speer JHPs with a really deep nose hollow that is almost as wide as the round and open all the way to the end of the casing. I've never seen that round before - looks like it's pretty light weight - probably wouldn't be very accurate at any distance or penetrate very deep, but it would probably act like a hole saw for the few inches it would penetrate.

really deep nose hollow that is almost as wide as the round and open all the way to the end of the casing Made me think of some...professional experiences...I had a loooooong time ago with some gentlemen...of a Mediterranean persuasion. The head honcho used to carry a little S&W 36 with some kind of JHP. He and his minions had put primers in the hollow points Have never tried it and I don't recommend it. Glad we never had professional differences enough to make him yank it.

That's a good round for self defense - mine's now loaded with 230gr Remington Golden Saber - not bad either.

Since the local city police use .45 Sig-Sauers, I gave the magazine to one of our security officers today, but kept the Speer rounds for target practice. Here are a couple of pictures of one - nasty looking thing, eh? Frank
