The going price for Remington Golden Saber .45 BJHP is about $28-$30/25 - or $1.10-1.20/each. I agree it's high, but Remington doesn't work the police shows like the other manufacturers trying to sell volume..... I guess they're content to sell what they can and use the round as a profit-maker.

Everything I've read about the G/S round is good, but whether it's better than the Hydra-Shok round is arguable. I use the cheap stuff at the range and will keep G/S rounds in the magazine for carry. I'm now buying Federal American Eagle for range use. Every now and then I'll probably shoot a few of the G/S rounds at the range just to make sure they continue to feed ok.

I haven't seen anything yet that won't feed in the Colt 1911 with the parkerized feed ramp. I guess the Army inspectors were right in their assessment that the finish was slick enough to not require polishing the ramp.
