I haven't seen anything yet that won't feed in the Colt 1911 with the parkerized feed ramp. I guess the Army inspectors were right in their assessment that the finish was slick enough to not require polishing the ramp.

Exactly... BUT There's a 3 point control system designed in there. The magazine, feed ramp, and slide are all involved, and important.

MOST 45 acp JHP rounds have smaller hollow points than say a 9mm round so as to feed reliably in a 1911.
