Can anyone tell me what the signs of a worn throwout bearing would be. My clutch seems to have something wrong and its only got about 16K miles on it but the boneheads never replaced that bearing. It doesn't engage smoothly for the most part. Its almost like as you release the pedal, it reaches a certain point and then just grabs. I can sometimes hear a metallic clink when pushing the pedal in and out moving at low speeds too. Sometimes the tranny gets semi-stuck in reverse after parking and its nots always smooth going into gear (more so in 1st and 2nd).
When in gear and driving its perfect, no slip or noise etc.
Sorry for the long post but wanted to put as much info as I could. Would love some opinions before I decide to take it to a shop, (this job is out of my time frame)
Thanks in advance.
