Now I have the basic Garmin unit with no mapping, just waypoints and "bread crumbs". I would like to purchase something that would have the BLM/USFS/etc. roads listed and be self contained (I don't think a laptop would be up to some of the rough terrain) without spending $400+ on a Garmin Colorado. I am kind of new with the mapping.
