While using the timing light on the marks, ground one of the wires and see if the timing moves close to factory spec. I think the other wire is just a fuel pump check terminal, and grounding it won't hurt. It wants 12v+ to check fuel pump run.


use a test light. no risk of damage this way.


probe 1 and if it lights while cranking thats the fuel pump terminal.

IIRC the connector you want for timing is the tan one.
