I am building a Samurai and putting a 22r 5speed tranny and t-case out of a 84 4 runner I was wondering if the 22r (carbed) will run with out the computer that is in the passenger kick panel? emissions computer ? or ECM ... here in Canada .. we dont have the computer on a carbed engine .. and all of our trucks are still running .. well only the best ones !!!  So I would have to say yes . .

If you like things simple and want to spend the money, the Davis Unified Ignition (DUI) replaces the coil, igniter and distributor with a 2 wire hook up (one to 12v and one to the tach)and a single vacuum line to the carb (or none if you choose the mechanical advance model. Hedman headers are available without the O2 port as well.

What I am thinking is stock pistons on LP(propane), then puting a turbo off of a irigation motor/power unit, it will add about 40hp not much but I think it would be more than high compression pistons on only LP, I would be afraid of puting the HC pistons with the turbo.

Aww dont be that ghetto. Do the turbo right and it will last forever. The steedspeed manifolds ($500) are very nice, pick up a T3/T4 turbo (4-500) and you've got reliable power.
