It looks like I'm seeing a strange thing where I'm not seeing all the files in a directory on a FTP login....

I figured out what the difference is on the new server... looks like all is well, but a little different.

On the old server for those that had their web pages on 4x4wire, they were in a directory starting with www/home/"your id" AND, you could backup up the directory tree all the way into the articles subdirectories, and I suppose into other places that weren't healthy...

On the new server the home or "/" directory when logging in with ftp, is the home directory for the individual personal page website..

I had not updated the home directory settings in my ftp program which was still going to the www/home/deddleman directory, which is still there, but the web page files are now in the / home directory...

And you can no longer go up the subdirectory tree into the article subdirectories..

Good for security.. but does raise the question if we need to update an old article, how, who will do it.. Looks like we (authors) no longer have FTP access to those directories...

Dont get rid of the quick reply box at the bottom. I like it! Thats one of my favorite features on other sites.

Get rid of the quick reply choice that is next to the EDIT/REPLY/QUOTE buttons

If there is an updated needed to an article, I am inclined to post the update through the portal with a link to the original.

Broken links or other things can be fixed on a case-by-case basis.

I have been trying to build a list of broken links that need fixing. I have about 50 to work on.
