Hello Gents:

Did a quick search, but it seems that most of the threads related to this question are for previous years trucks (older than 1998), and I cannot find the truck's owner's manual (used to be my wife's truck, and my guess is that she tossed it our in order to acquire space for her stuff in the glove compartment...).

I'd like to know what is the AT fluid I'd have to use to replace the one I have in the tranny (1998 Montero). Is the oil change recommendable? Wouldn't it affect the performance? I ask, since I haven't had to touch (repair) the tranny in 12 years I've had her.
