We will be heading back out to Uwharrie either the 3rd or 4th weekend of July. Right now I am tossing an idea around of doing a Friday + Saturday trip. Camping out at the Arrowhead Campgrounds, and wheeling for the weekend. Sounds good in theory, considering its summer time and that means weekend trips etc. But you have to think of it being close to the 4th of July, heat, and other stuff.

So the big trip would be a 17th/18th or 24th/25th two day camping one, or we just cut it down to a one day trip per usual. Lets see who all can make it, and go from there. I am leaning to the 17th/18th myself.

What about a sat & Sunday trip. With the heat, some might not be interested in fri, sat & Sunday so a 1-1/2 day trip might be better as mentioned. I'm always a "maybe", i vote the 3rd weekend and Sat-Sunday would be more ideal for me. But whatever the majority picks I'm cool with

17/18th Can't make I have family coming in. Should be up for the alternate date though.

Well if the later dates work better, what about earlier dates? How about the 11th or 11th/12th? Since technically the June trip only had me, NCDWrench, and Rolling show at Mark's house.

i certainly don't want anyone to set a date because of me since i am always hit or miss right up to the last moment. but the 18th will not work for me.

Brandy is not scheduled to work on the 11th so I may be able to come that day.

We're hosting a Hispanic church on the 25th so I wouldn't be able to stay all day on that weekend.

July at uhwarrie is usually very hot. if i can make it i would just wheel from around 8am to about 1pm anyway. summer camping is not for me. i did that years ago at uwharrie with the isuzu group. they now do the callalante trip during the hot months.

just my 2 cents. but let me say again, i never know until the last minute so y'all figure it out and i'll do what i can.

Notice of an edit to my previous post, I was looking at June and not July. I meant the 11th or 11th/12th. My cousin with her Land Rover has those days off, and a former boss of mine (White YJ) also has those dates free. You wheeled with him back in 07 Roger, it was him and his son.

But the thing is, what is best for me isn't always best for everyone else. I would rather have to figure out how to do 2 trips (one on the 11th possibly and another one later in July) than work it all into one if it makes it hard on other people. If I had a money tree in my back yard it would be no problem, but sadly that isn't the case (at least I am getting more hours at work).

So does the 11th/12th work out better for others?

Better for me, Eli you seem to be pretty good friends with Janet up there, do you think if I brought some trail tires and some street tires, I could maybe leave them over by her so that they didn't sprout any legs?

I say just add a pole for 2nd, 3rd and 4th weekends of July and see who bites.
