It's uncomfortable, but get one of those blue rubber syringes like for flushing ears. Make a saline solution, warm, about a tablespoon of salt dissolved in a quart.
Lean over your sink, press one nostril shut, and gently flush the opposite side, about a cup's worth. Repeat for the opposite side.
Once before retiring for the night, and when you get up.
Are you taking any OVC meds for it?

I don't use Kewl's method, I just snort salt water...but it works very well. If it's a sinus infection, you'll probably need doc meds to get over it.

I don't like to use any meds not even aspirin. The salt water thing would dry my nose to the point of nose bleed. Yesterday was brutal but things are starting to clear up. I got up this morning and got to thinking about this dehumidifier I picked up. It was a side of the road/garbage thing. It looked in great condition, maybe a year or two old. Being the way I am, I grabbed it up to fix and use. The mold and algae in the collector bin was thick. I took the machine apart right next to the return air vent (vent going into the air conditioner) Friday night. Now here I am, sinus's fubared. The machine went into the trash for the last time this morning. It scares me because the machine was in my Laredo for two days worth of driving (hot). I hope I did not get mold spores in my lungs from this thing.
Next time I am going to leave well enough a lone and pass things up. But I like to fix broken things.

There's a difference between saline and salt water; should taste like tears, not brine when it's mixed. Yer flushing your sinuses, not smokin' fish.

Extra spicy 5 stars happy family noodle bowl at your favorite thai resurant.
Burn it out! May not cure the cold but it'll definitly open those sinus's up.

Nah, took another approach. Went to work today and sweat it out (a long with a lung). Then got home and mowed the lawn. Can say I feel better that Monday, but that green flem is getting old. Blow nose and wait ten minutes and blow again. Hell, back on the clock and the lawn is mowed.
