So what I'd do is to take that engine out and pull her apart. Then I'd rebuild what I had to and put her back in there. Changing from an inline to a v type might cost more in the long run. And be a hell of a lot more trouble.

i do know that the kid that was driving it when the engine got trashed had almost no oil in it. i've heard of seizing the motor up cause of no oil, but can a rod get bent from it?

btw my apologies for the dumb questions. i'm fairly new to fixing my own vechicles.
