Here's my opinion...it's HOT where you live. Your "winter" is even warmer than mine here in California. You don't want to use an oil that has a wide gap between it's winter grade and it's normal grade (ie, 0W-40), because they have to use a lot of additives in order to make it behave so differently between temperature extremes. And it never sees freezing there, so you don't really need the "W" anyhow.

Since it's warm pretty much 365 days a year in Bahrain (winter lows of about 50F, and summer highs close to 120F), I would recommend a full synthetic with a narrow gap between it's "W" rating and its standard rating (15W-40, 20W-50) or a straight-weight synthetic without a "W" rating (40 or 50 weight full synthetic). If you're getting really anal retentive about it, I might run the 40 in the winters and the 50 in the summers. But that's a little excessive perhaps. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
