It seemed like it was time to rebuild my skid underneath the oilpan on the Monty. I had bent and bashed it enough that it was a 15 minute job to put it back on because the holes werent aligned. My old one was only 1/8" and it bent too easily so I went up to 3/16.
With the old skid I always had problems with it filling up with junk after going through mud, so to solve that problem I cut holes in the new one to help with drainage and save a little on weight.
I am a little curious to see how well it holds up with the holes in it so a little testing is in order and I will report back. I dont forsee any major bending but who knows. It was really easy and quick to whip this up with the plasma. What a difference from the torch that I used on the old one 5 years ago. Sometimes I think I love my plasma more than my kids I am also going to rework the other skids as I get time. Anyhow, here are a couple of pictures.
