That's just a shame. People don't give a <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rodent.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/butwiggle.gif" alt="" /> about it anymore. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

No fireworks here, they said because of the economy but people would have paid if they would have set a fund up.

I watched the fireworks on TV <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/patriot.gif" alt="" />

So, wife and I went to dinner and stopped to watch a local fireworks display on the way home.

The big booms were quickly followed by the annoying sound of car alarms going off....

My flag is ALWAYS up.

We went and watched the Carmichael show. We avoided the crowds by parking in front of a foreclosed house and sitting on thier lawn. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Best seats in the house. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

The alarm in the car right in front of ours kept going off. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" /> Why even set those things if your not going to listen for it and react...I could have stolen that car ten times <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

The Boy Scouts have a program in our area where they put out flags in people's yards for each of the patriotic holidays (I put up my own) so probably 60-75% of the homes in my neighborhood have flags flying.

Also, the volunteer fire department puts on a fireworks show as a fund raiser. People are asked to make a donation. They have about 40,000 people show up , all this is an area where the closest town has 30,000 residents. They ask for a $3.00 donation, and on average, that is what they get.
