Body Damage is Cool
I am looking for a rebuild kit for my '88 Raider 5 Speed KM145 and ran across these on eBay for a D50 - anyone know if one of these also cross references to the Raider?

Kit 1
Kit 2

Thanks!

I shot him a note already but have not heard back. My guess is neither of these have the correct input shaft bearing - which happens to be toast on mine :-(

If I had to guess (remember its a guess) the 2nd kit sounds to be about right. The 2nd kit if the description is correct should work on the KM145 in the Raiders/Monteros 87 and up (that have the KM145 of course).

Mine is very noisey.

How did yours go bad? Just curious.

i want to buy that kit right now but it seems like the guy may have many of them.

I checked the Seller's feedback and it is flawless.
He has been selling Hard to Find Trans and Transfer Rebuild Kits for Old and Foreign made Trucks for a couple years on FLEABAY.
Lots of Comments about "working excellent" and "great quality".

I saw that he sold a couple of the d-50 kits! i guess those guys aren't on the wire.

Yes mine is also really noisy when the clutch pedal is NOT depressed in neutral. Plan was to pull it this week and replace the clutch etc... but I am almost out of "week" and I am back to work next. Also I don't have a transmission jack or a hoist. So I did some calling around today and found a transmission shop to do all the labor R&R and transmission work for $400. Truck is there now. Figured I would have those guys do the input shaft bearing at the same time. They don't have any problem with me supplying the parts. Putting in a Luk Clutch - is it OK?

My son has a raider just like mine. His is very quiet when the clutch is not depressed. mine is noisey. I suppose the trans needs to be disassembled to replace the bearing?

I do not know anything about that Luk clutch. i replaced mine about 6 months ago. I used a medium clutch ( sachs ).

I now regret not having put in a centerforce or some other top of the line clutch.

When i went crawling; the clutch burned bad at a couple points. very smelly of course.

If you are not going to Crawl then you will be ok.

In the very near future i am going to pull trans and replace the bearing and put in the best disc and plate i can find!

I keep going back and forth about trying to rebuild mine. Mine is making noise when the clutch peddle is out. I have been eyeing this place for a while now
LINK Dodge Raider 87-89 kit with syncro rings but I just don't know what all it would take to tare one of these things apart and put it back together again... correctly On their site they reference the transmission for that year as a km145-9 with 24mm wide Front Input. Does that sound correct to anyone who knows?

Hmmm that kit in Flebay sounds good. I got a little over 396k on my transmission, it is working fine but it does grind a bit when downshifting from 5 to 4th and a bit from 2nd to 3rd.

I don't want to wait until it starts making noises or breaks down completely.

from what i can see.... the 3.0 has the V5MT1 trans

the 2.6 has the KM145 trans.

is this correct?
