So is this the place for Trackers?

My brother in-law f'ed up his tracker. He loved to wheel it but it couldn't last the way we wheel.

So he gave it to me when it broke.

The plan is solid axles front and rear with leaf springs and fully locked.

Here is how I got it.

So I have an idea of how I would like to do this SAS and stuff BUT I would still like to find some others who have hardcore trackers to bounce ideas off of. I searched the net including Pirate but can't find anything. Can anyone point me somewhere or post up what they have?

Some more of the before pics. Me and my brother cut off the back half one day and then he built this nice bed. I think the bed will stay and I will build the cage around it. Still waiting on axles.

Yeah, zuks. They are completely different than Geo Trackers. So of the drive train is close but the frame is way different. Im planning on leaf spring front and rear to make it easy.

There is a little bit of good stuff on that Zuki Krawlers site.

Tay from my lil bit of SAS'n experience good luck getting a leaf spring short enough to go under the front of your Tracker w/o having to build a 12in frame extension out the front of it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey Tay, I would look at the gas tank area and see what I could do to fortify. Trackers have a bad reputation lately with exploding gas tanks.

I would also be sure to get a new license number. Something about those first three digits.

I will need to add six inches for YJ leaves which will make a good winch plate mounting area!

My gas tank will explode? I've never heard that! Please share, what more do you know? Why does this happen?
And the plate stays. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
