Yeah man, if you could do that for me. Maybe ask him if it would be okay for me to stop by and check it out?
Thanks

Removed the axles/cut [censored] off today. Looking at a set of waggy D44s right now. I hope the deal goes through and I can start putting something good into the track-attack!

Worked some on the tracker project, should have axles either Sunday, july 25 or a few days after.

Removed the rear axle.

Removed the front axle, still have more stuff to remove.

It got too hot outside, might go cut more out later.
Need beer first though! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Tay it does look hot out there.

What you doing for axles? D44s?

What kind of gears you gonna run in that thing if your keeping stock motor?

Is there any aftermarket support for the T case?

I am trying to find some aftermarket t-case support or find some kind of swap for a t-case with aftermarket support.

As for axles it is looking more like toyota axles, 81 with 5.71 gears....that might change but if all goes to plan....we will know tomorrow.

Motor is staying and so is tranny and t-case for now...till I find what is better.

Wheelbase isnt longenoughto run a divorced set up is it?

Shucks I got an 85 yoter front axle up here w/ all the gussets and the whole 9.

Motor options are gonna be tough I bet a 4.3 wont even set in there. Maybe like a ford 2.3 or something they have a decent aftermarket.

Dang, I need your axle!

Yeah, divorced won't work.

I found this though:
http://www.trailtough.com/index.php?opti...8&Itemid=53

Trail tough has a good amount of stuff for a tracker. I found the t-case low stock is 1.8:1. I want the trail tough 4.24:1 t-case gears. $650 is steep though!!!!

Oh man! Bad news in the final crawl ratio area!

Tranny gears are:
1st 2.40
2nd 1.47
3rd 1.00
Reverse 2.00

T-case gears
High 1.00
Low 1.82

This means I will need the underdrive of 1.5:1 and the new t-case gears of 4.24:1 low.

All that with a axle gear ratio of 5.71:1 puts me at around 85:1 final crawl ratio.

Now thats not a bad number for an auto tranny....but!

The undertaker underdrive cost $1295.00
The 4.24:1 t-case gears cost $650
The axles I am looking at with 5.71 gears cost $500

Im really getting deep here....I just wanted to throw axles at it and go wheel.

Now Im looking at slip yoke eliminators and new drive shafts and.....a bunch of crap!

DRUNK RESEARCH AND POSTING!!!

One of them yoter axles I have is COMPLETLY redone to all seals, shims, brakes got upgraded and painted. BTW if ya do redo an axle w/ birfs dont remove the shims off the bearing on top and bottom of em. Keep track of em its a b!tch to have to reshim em one at a time. Trying to make certain theres 0 play in em

650 aint bad for Tcase gears. All the mitsu tcase gears are atleast 1000

Maybe just get the t case gears and w/ your axles at 5.71 you should be good enough I'd like to think.

How big of a tire you gonna run?
